All you could want for a great golf break. Went with a friend for a 1 night 2 rounds stay with dinner bed and breakfast, and I was really impressed. The course is a great challenge where positional play really is important, and having 27 holes means you get a different feel each round. One gripe would be that the bunkers aren't great, the rest is though and the greens are so consistent. The accommodation was decent and comfortable, the bar area is fantastic and really works well for the many golf groups there, food here is very nice with dinner being served quickly. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and one of the best I've had. Staff here are fantastic and always friendly. So highly recommend coming here
Great facilities. Welcoming staff happy to help. Club house and resort is just fab.
Superb setup, the weather was a bit dull but the course was in lovely condition. The greens in particular were 1st class. The clubhouse was as good as ever and the catering well up to standard, particularly recommend the steak and ale pie!!!
All the golf courses were in good condition. The food was excellent as always and the accomodation is very good.
Loved the 27 hole option. Challenging and interesting layout. Great location for a golf trip. Good food and good club house. Driving range available as well as basic accommodation. Would love to return in the summer.
This is our third visit and it never let's us down. All the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome. The clubhouse is really nice and welcoming and both bar and evening meals are excellent.
We stayed in one of the lodges and the facilities are amazing. So Spacious and includes a secure garage area to leave your golf clubs and trolleys etc including power to recharge your electric trolleys. Inside the lodge was a utility room with washing machine and a sauna. The lodge was spotless and a shame that we were only in it for a couple of days.
The golf course was in excellent condition and having the 3X 9 holes makes it feel like your playing a different course everyday. Only downside was the bunkers obviously have a drainage issue and really frustrating at actually losing balls as the water in some was so deep that you couldn't retrieve them. Yes I know, I shouldn't be in them anyway 🤦♂️.
Overall though this was a fantastic trip away and definitely give it 5 🌟.
Just used the driving range with my son who is new to golf. Fantastic set up. He loved the interactive games we could use on the screen. Once set up really easy to use the range.
I attended a 32 man strong golf society in Sept 18 playing 4 days and staying on site in Lodge 4.
The Good: The Lodges were amazing, huge and perfectly set up for groups on golf weekends and get away from the others and play poker etc. Sauna, fridge freezer, TV, decent beds and showers could not be faulted and cleaned daily. The golf courses are pretty decent, Woodland is tight, Lakeland was my favourite. Buggies are available but you need to book and pay well in advance.
The not so good: Food was average. Bacon at breakfast was barely cooked one day, the orange juice had a weird fizzy taste. Fish and chips paid for at bar was okay. The staff are really unfriendly to the point were you feel a bit unwelcome. The dress code is ridiculous when you look at the horrible decor in the bar (whicker chairs straight from the local garden centre sale), if it was posh you could understand but it looks a bit run down. It’s a long way to Bournemouth for a night out, we organised a coach which took 45 minutes. Pro shop was okay and staff at least smiled but very small and they didn’t have a screw driver which was weird.
Overall 8/10, highly recommended for large groups just don’t expect a warm welcome
